Only BOATs (Byways Open to All Traffic) are legally open to motorcycles — footpaths, bridleways and restricted byways are not, regardless of ground conditions. Always check the current status yourself (your local council's Definitive Map, or the Trail Riders Fellowship Green Lane Map) and follow any on-site signage before riding.
